5 Questions: An Interview With David Contreras

A little bit about David: “I grew up in Southern California, mainly in the cities of La Verne, San Dimas, and Rialto. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior, and a minor in criminology. I enjoy watching movies I haven’t seen before and binging on TV shows. I spend my off time hanging out with friends and managing my friend’s band.”

What do you enjoy most about working here? “I like the work we do here, and the feeling that we are making a difference in the lives of others.”

If you could learn anything, what would it be? “I would learn to play an instrument, like the violin or drums. I love music and would like to learn an instrument to express myself musically and play my favorite songs.”

Who are your role models? “My family are my role models. My two older sisters were like my second moms; they help raise me and helped me become who I am today.”

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? “I wanted to be a superhero, so I could help others and save the day.”

Saying or motto you live by? “Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Know the limits of what you can and cannot do.”
