May is National Foster Care Month—a time to honor the children and teens in foster care, the families who care for them, and the dedicated professionals who support them.
Foster families provide love, safety, and stability while children's biological families work through challenges, with the hope of reunification. Foster care is not only about supporting children but also about giving parents the time and help they need to rebuild.
This month, we also recognize the vital, often unseen work of social workers, counselors, teachers, foster parents, and community members who make a lasting impact every day.
How Can You Help?
- Say "thank you" to a foster parent or social worker.
- Support a foster family in your community.
- Learn more about becoming a foster parent or mentor.
- Talk with your kids about what it means to help others in need.
Every child deserves a safe and loving home. Let's work together to ensure they get it—not just in May, but all year long!
With Love,
Jami & Deena
