2018 Academic Awards Banquet

Joan Macy School and David & Margaret Youth and Family Services host a school banquet celebration after each completed school semester to recognize the students for their growth and achievements. The awards were most recently held on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at the David & Margaret dining hall.

Students, their families and friends, teachers, staff and JMS and D&M Board members were all on hand to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.

The awards that were presented were:

Top Academics - A minimum GPA of 3.8. No extended outs, AWOLS or uncaused absences during the semester.

Top Citizenship - A minimum GPA of 3.8, average for citizenship. no extended outs, AWOLS or unexcused absences during the semester.

Consistent Academic Achievement - A minimum GPA of 3.0. No extended outs, AWOLS or uncaused absences during the semester. Student consistently works to achieve full capability and consistory makes positive effort academically in all classes.

Consistent Citizenship Achievement - A minimum GPA of 3.0. No extended outs, AWOLS or uncaused absences during the semester. Student consistently makes positive effort behaviorally thorough out the school day. capability and consistory makes positive effort academically in all classes.

Shows Improved Citizenship - No extended outs, AWOLS or uncaused absences during the last five weeks. Award is based on behavioral basis only.

Consistent Effort - Student has made an effort to consistently improve during the semester.
