Happy Birthday To Us in 2010!
In 1910 a local businessman named Henry J. Kuns and his wife presented to the then Women’s Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church, seventeen and one-half acres of land and an old hotel in La Verne to be used as an orphanage for children. The gift was a memorial to their deceased son and Mr. Kuns’ father and mother, for whom it was named David & Margaret. Little did he, or the thousands of children, youth and families since served visualize that David & Margaret Youth and Family Services will be Celebrating a Century of Caring in 2010! Keep watching our website for upcoming celebration activiites for 2010!
